For many years the two of us have been praying for our future soul mate. We have prayed that God would give us the patience, protection and perseverance as we have waited for the answer to our prayers. When it came time for both of us to make our decision to follow God’s call to work in Papua New Guinea, it occurred to us both that we would be giving up our dream(s) of having a soul mate to share the journey of life and ministry. Never in our wildest dreams did either one of us imagine what God had in store and how specifically He answers our prayers. Not only did He bring us both to work in Papua New Guinea with Pioneer Bible Translators, so that we may share the vision and passion for seeing His Kingdom come there but He answered each other’s specific requests for the character and background of our mates.
On April 14, 2012 Tyler asked Emily to marry him and she said, “Yes, of course.” One month later, May 14, 2012 we were wed in a private ceremony in the Bear Paw Mountains in Montana.
